Nab that Shit! →
Have you ever heard of TuneNabber? It is fucking awesome. It rips audio from YouTube urls and converts it to an mp3, ready for you to download. Even better: when you download the mp3, it puts it directly into your iTunes Library.
I first heard about it from a kid who was drunk on a bottle of gin in Mifflin County, PA. Some of the best drunken information I have ever received.

Best Buds: a chick-flick stoner movie →
circlegame:

I hope this is great and all, but I’m really hoping this spawns more chick-flick-bic-flicks and then Charlyne Yi’s character from Knocked Up gets her own movie. She was by far the funniest part of that film.
Wow, I’m really excited for this. I’ve been wanting a girlie Pineapple Expressish movie for a while. I realize this is a road trip movie, but what I’m...

Time for another installment of Too Nerdy Even for Me.
…however…I do recognize Hobbit Day, so perhaps I am being hypocritical. But I think Hobbit Day is less nerdy than this because, although the date derives from fictional events, most fans don’t celebrate it as Frodo and Bilbo’s birthday; they just use it as a convenient day to celebrate the work as a whole. Whereas...

You’ve heard the term “choice feminism” right? Usually used derisively by a person who is arguing: Just because a woman makes a choice does not make it a feminist choice, we have to be able to examine issues on a systemic rather than individual level, some choices that individual feels are good for them are actually going to be bad for the group as a whole...

20 Random Acts of Kindness for Backpackers →
travelhighlights:
From Brave New Traveler:
1. Do the washing-up in the hostel, even when it’s not yours.
2. Write your top tips for nearby places and post them on hostel notice boards.
3. When you’re hosteling with friends, invite solo travelers out for dinner and drinks.
4. Travel with a plug-in mosquito repellent and keep the dorm mossie-free. Raid makes a good one.

The Ellie and Elizabeth Food Blog →
circlegame:
My roommate has started a Julie and Julia style project - making all the recipes in Ellie Krieger’s The Food You Crave - in a Healthier Way. She’s writing about it in a blog on blogspot, not tumblr (lame). I’m pretty excited about the whole thing, because I get to eat all of this delicious food.
I’d just like to agree that Elizabeth is not only brilliant in the kitchen, but...

Francis Collins Publishing Yet Another Book... →
Francis Collins was head of the Human Genome Project; he’s now head of the National Institute of Health. Basically, this guy is America’s head scientist, which means people listen to him. Unfortunately for us, he peddles bullshit to the public about how understanding genetics “obliges” one to accept not just a creator god, but (conveniently) the Christian creator god in...

According to my 12 year old brother, I am an alcoholic.
