Personal Business
One of the things that sucks about being a grown-up is that there’s just no time to take care of personal business.
Example: There is some seriously weird shit going down with my student loan stuff right now, the kind of thing that I am not going to be able to solve on the interwebz. I’m going to actually need to call these financial people to figure out what is going on. When will I do that? Not tomorrow, which is crazy science fair day. Not this weekend because financial people don’t work weekends. Not Monday because I am teaching and then going right to a reception to meet the visiting Korean teachers.
So…Tuesday, I guess? And I’ll just be a big ball of anxiety about it until ten?
Ridiculous. I’m going to have to find twenty minutes and a quiet corner somewhere tomorrow.

It’s not being a grown up, it’s being a teacher. If you had a desk job, you could do it first thing. And then take a bathroom break, just for kicks.
