Leaving PA for MD in the next month or so.

- 2/3 of the portfolio
- Curated samples for my upcoming presentation: “Addressing Common Core ELA in the Science Classroom” (teachers love samples during PD, amirite?!)
To do prior to 11 AM tomorrow:
- Laundry
- Pack
- Remaining 1/3 of portfolio
To do at 11 tomorrow:
- Drive to Philadelphia!
To do at 2 tomorrow:
- Preside at registration table for an hour
To do prior to ~3 tomorrow (though really prior to 11!)
- Figure out how to effectively frame/scaffold time in the presentation for colleagues to brainstorm a writing task for their own classrooms (prompt? think-pair-share?)
- Decide how to best engage colleagues with the samples I’m providing
I’m exhausted, and I’m heading into four days of extensive mental exertion, no fresh air, too much caffeine, and very little sleep. As it gets closer I’m getting more and more nervous about this presentation too. Someday someone is going to figure out that all I do is bluff and make stuff up.
